April 1 marked the completion of one year in office for Winneshiek County Sheriff Dan Marx. After a busy year that led to many accomplishments, Marx was quick to give credit to the entire Sheriff’s Office staff, including (l-r) civil clerk Christina Hirsch, jailer Ian Kemp, civil clerk Diana Wilharm, Marx, and Deputy Tim Felton. For Dan Marx, it has been a busy and eventful past year. After being appointed and sworn in as Winneshiek County Sheriff on April 1, 2015, the 14-year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office hit the ground running.
“I would describe year one as extremely intense, but in a positive way,” explained Marx. “It has really gone by fast.”
