Korbin Swenson is New London's inspiration in the dugout

Editor’s Note: The following story was written by Matt Levins of The Hawk Eye (Burlington). Swenson is the grandson of Laverne and Grace Swenson of Clermont.

The New London High School baseball team meets in a postgame huddle on the field, listening to coaches Brad Helmerson and Justin Schulte critique their performance following the latest in what has been a season full of wins.

Then a big commotion erupts from the Tigers' circle.

Korbin Swenson, the team's manager who will be a junior this fall, has the team in an uproar. Swenson does a little jump move, something that has become part of the team's postgame ritual after wins this season. And the team is all smiles as the players join in the excitement Swenson brings.

Swenson, who was diagnosed with autism at the age of six, has brought a special joy to the team this year. Swenson is the most beloved member of the team, and his postgame ritual has become something the team cherishes just as much as winning.
