Jannes Westerfield dies April 2

Word has been received of the death of former West Union resident Jannes Westerfield. She died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, in Aptos, Calif., near the home of her eldest daughter, Sara.

Jan was the author of The Union’s “Between the Lines” weekly column for many years. Her late husband, Dick, was the longtime editor/publisher of The Union. He died Sept. 2, 2012.
