Helen (Buchheit) Halstead of West Union will be the guest of honor at an open house celebrating her 80^th birthday. The event will be held on her birthday, Sunday, Aug. 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Holy Name Parish Center in West Union.

The luncheon will be hosted by her nine children, Jim (Jackie) and Mark (Linda) Halstead of West Union; Lois White of Polk City; Dave (Cathy) Halstead of Cincinnati; Kathy (Chuck) Glatz, Mary (Alan) Lynch and Teresa Halstead (Jeff Bryant), all of Ames; Art (Angela) Halstead of Pella; and Joyce (Curt) Meyer of Minneapolis.

All friends and relatives are invited to come help Helen celebrate. Please consider your presence as the only gift requested.
