‘We Can’t Stop’ during 
Homecoming Week 2013

West Central will celebrate Homecoming 2013 “We Can’t Stop” during the week of Sept. 22-28. 

Community members are invited to attend the coronation of the Homecoming King and Queen at 5:30 on Sunday, Sept. 22, followed by a powder puff football game. There will also be a boys' volleyball game that evening. 

In addition, there will be an auction of the Devils’ white football jerseys for those wanting to wear them during Homecoming Week.  

On Monday, Sept. 23, students in grades 7-12 will partake in Generation Day. Seniors will dress as babies, juniors as toddlers, sophomores as senior citizens, freshmen as middle-age adults. Students in seventh and eighth grade are asked to dress as a favorite ancestor or historical figure.

Tuesday is Video Game Day. The Blue Devil volleyball team will host South Winn starting at 5:30 p.m. Also Tuesday night, the junior high volleyball team will travel to Sumner-Fredericksburg at 4 p.m. 

Wednesday is Holiday Day, and Thursday is Dead Celebrity Day. A junior high volleyball game will be played versus Dunkerton at 4 p.m.  The Blue Devil volleyball team will be on the road at Sumner-Fredericksburg at 5:30 p.m. 

On Friday, Sept. 27, students will wear the traditional blue and white to show support for the varsity football team taking on Midland (Wyoming) at 7 p.m. Events throughout the day on Friday include Olympic Games for grades K-12, a parade at 1:30 p.m., and a pep rally and skits following the parade. The Homecoming Court and the king/queen will be introduced prior to the game, and the Blue Devil Marching Band will perform during halftime of the football game. 

Homecoming 2013 will conclude with the high school dance on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 8 to 11 p.m.
