Citizens Savings Bank of Spillville and Fort Atkinson is pleased to announce that it has entered into a purchase agreement with Bank of the West to purchase its bank building located at 109 N. Main Street, Protivin.

Pending regulatory approval, Citizens Savings Bank will be opening a branch in Protivin this spring.  A formal announcement will be made at a later date.

David J. Riha, president and CEO, stated, “We are excited about the opportunity to bring a locally owned, community-minded bank to the community of Protivin.  Citizens Savings Bank has established a strong reputation of providing outstanding service to our clients and has created a tradition of community support and involvement. As our bank slogan states: We are big enough to serve you and small enough to know you.”

The Protivin location will offer a full line of banking services, including business and personal checking and savings accounts, time deposits, IRAs, as well as ag, business and consumer loans.

Citizens Savings Bank has been locally owned since 1908 and continues to be a community-oriented bank that has grown to over $87 million in assets.

The employees and directors of Citizens Savings Bank are excited to expand to the Protivin area and look forward to providing the same quality, small-town customer service to the patrons of Protivin and the surrounding areas.
