Senner, Wurzer tops in Men’s City Bowling

Rod Senner and Kyle Wurzer were the top individual bowlers in the recent Men’s City Bowling Tournament at Lilac Lanes in West Union.

Senner was the all-events champion with 2077 points; he also placed second in the singles competition with a 723 series. Marvin Schmitt (2044) and Brady Kuennen (2033) were second and third in the all-events.

Wurzer rolled a 710 scratch series in the singles tournament; with his handicap, it meant he had a 755 series; both were tops in the tourney. Jared Tilleraas was third in the singles category with his series of 715.

Frank Hangartner and Jay Jensen combined to win the doubles title. The duo rolled a 1350 scratch series; 1437 with handicap. Right behind the winners were the duos of Troy Johansen and Ron Miller (1389) and Kevin Bemiss and Marvin Schmitt (1368).

Team Bud rolled a 3344 to win the team trophy, with Northern Lights (3341) placing a close second and Begalskie Construction (3221) coming in third.
