GRAND OPENING/RETIREMENT OPEN HOUSE

Sumner Building Center to host an open house for its grand opening and to celebrate the retirement of Bob and Terry

Elliott.

On Saturday, April 5, 2014, from 1-4 p.m. the public is invited to Sumner Building Center at 200 N. Division St. in Sumner

for an open house for its grand opening and to celebrate the retirement of Bob and Terry Elliott. Food will be provided.

Door prizes will be given out, and there will be drawings for a child-sized picnic table and an adult-sized picnic table.

On March 1, 2014, Kurt and Angie Weidemann purchased E&M Lumber Co. and have named it Sumner Building Center,

Inc. Sumner Building Center plans to continue to provide quality building materials at a reasonable price through

excellent customer service. The same employees will be working at the local lumberyard with the exception of Gerald

Miner, who will be retiring on March 27, 2014, after 40 years with E&M Lumber Co.

Sumner Building Center will continue to provide building materials for residential, agricultural, and light commercial

projects. This includes products for kitchens, countertops, and a small selection of hardware. Sumner Building Center

will also continue to provide drafting and design services for residential projects including: New homes, additions,

remodel projects, and kitchens. They also provide drafting and design services for agricultural and light commercial

projects. Sumner Building Center provides garage door and garage door opener repair and installation, fiberglass handle

installation, and window and screen repair. They also do simple installation projects such as door lock installation. The

employees also do some shop work such as building small cabinets, utility sheds, picnic tables, etc.
