The TigerHawks had fans on the edge of their seats Monday night versus Sumner-Fredericksburg in a District quarterfinal but a late-game bomb gave NFV the edge it needed.
Filling the bases in the top of the first inning, the Cougars capitalized on a wild pitch to score a run early to take a 1-0 lead over NFV.
S-F threatened to push players across home plate as runners stood in scoring position, but the TigerHawks maintained their composure and battled out of each situation as necessary.
