With five girls missing for various reasons, the North Fayette Valley volleyball team was really shorthanded in Saturday’s tournament at South Tama.

The TigerHawks fell in three straight matches. They lost to Grinnell, 9-21 and 17-21; Hudson beat NFV, 21-13 and 21-12. North Fayette Valley came back to win game one against North Tama, 21-9, but dropped the final two, 27-25 and 10-15.

According to head coach Bruce Ehler, “We’re struggling to catch a break and get some wins. We continue to be inconsistent. When we put ourselves in position to win, we can’t seem to finish.”
