Friday night in Calmar, the Warriors came out and took care of business, beating the Jesup J-Hawks by a score of 62-12.

“One of our goals this week was to come out and score on the opening drive,” expressed coach Jason Ohrt after the game.

The warriors did just that, when Christian Kleve scampered 14-yards to find the endzone.

The South Winneshiek defense looked impressive as they forced the J-hawks to a three and out on the ensuing possession, which would lead to a 41-yard touchdown run by Ryan Hageman.

The defense would come up big again, recovering a fumble deep in Jesup territory. After Hageman, Kleve, and Ben Meyer fought their way to the 1-yardline on the ground, Hageman capped the drive off with a short touchdown run up the middle, making the score 22-0.
