Athletes battle at Corn Cob Nationals

Several area athletes battled at Corn Cob Nationals, a wrestling tournament held March 14-15 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines. Luke Massman, Manning Kuboushek, Landers Kuboushek, Braxton Smith, Tanner Tollefsrud (l-r) and Steven Moore (not pictured) represented South Winneshiek at the annual tournament. Other area wrestlers who competed were Jake Everts, Chris Brincks, Nathan Brincks, and Mike Schwann. Everts and Landers Kuboushek each won a title, bringing home a golden corn cob.
