The Co-op 1 Stop convenience store, which has been a part of downtown Ossian since 1990, has recently been acquired from Farmer’s Union Cooperative by Caseys General Store.

The acquisition, which also included the purchase of Pit Stop in Postville, was confirmed last week by Dave Hemesath, Farmer’s Union Cooperative general manager. 

Hemesath also stated that Caseys General Store, which currently owns a store in Ossian, intends to close the 1 Stop location. The closure will take effect Friday, May 12.
