Eunice Nading

Eunice Nading of West Union, formerly of Volga, will observe her 100th birthday on Saturday, June 17.

In celebration, her family will host an open house in Eunice’s honor from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at the West Union Senior Center, 107 E. Armour Street.

Eunice was born June 17, 1917, in Guttenberg to Arthur and Hilda (Lemke) Staack.

She and her late husband, Merlin Nading, farmed west of Volga for over 40 years, raising registered Holstein cattle.

In 2001 Eunice moved to West Union to be nearer to her family, which includes one daughter, Diane (Jim) Frey of West Union.

She also has three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Everyone is invited to join in celebrating Eunice’s birthday at the open house on June 17. No gifts, please.

Cards and birthday greetings are welcome, however, and may be sent to 101 R Street, Lot #11, West Union, IA 52175.
