Cheryl Walker

Cheryl D. Walker, 72, of Oelwein, Iowa died Saturday evening, April 4, 2020 at her home.

Cheryl Dale Chase was born February 4, 1948 at Davenport, Iowa.  At an early age, she was adopted and raised by Dale and Ernestine (Hope) Chase.  She attended school in Fayette and Elgin.  Cheryl was a nurse’s aide for several years in Freeport, Iowa.  She enjoyed crocheting, playing pool, painting ceramics, playing cards, listening to Elvis, and planting beautiful flowers every year.  Cheryl also had a love for animals and always contributed to local animal rescue charities. 

Cheryl is survived by her 4 children: Brian (Ivy) Heins of Cedar Rapids, Brad (Lisa) Heins of West Union, Shane Heins of Independence and

Denise Conner of Westgate;

long time partner: Gary Heins of Oelwein; many grandchildren;  great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and twin sister: Carol Lau.

The Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein is assisting the family.
