Sharon Kahn

Sharon Kahn, 64, of West Union, Iowa died on Monday, June 8, 2020 at Gundersen Palmer Lutheran Hospital in West Union, Iowa. She was born February 29, 1956 to Charles and Judith (Collins) Rowe in Fallbrook, California. Sharon recently celebrated her 'Sweet 16' birthday. Sharon graduated from Starmont High School. 

Sharon was united in marriage with the love of her life, Joe Kahn, in 2000. Sharon worked in food service at Tapt Out and Quillins. Sharon enjoyed being outdoors, working around her yard, taking the dogs to the lake, and going on adventures. Sharon will always be remembered for her fun-loving spirit and her spontaneity. Sharon's love for her grandchildren was uncanny and her face lit up at the pure sight of them. Sharon was perfectly imperfect and will be missed greatly. 

Surviving Sharon is her daughter, Suzanne (Scott Johansen) Rowe of West Union, Iowa; grandchildren, Kelsey (Corey) Schroeder, Tyler Johansen, Chase Blagsvedt, Alexis Ruroden, Sierra (River McMahon) Reyes, Summer (Gordon Wyninger) Reyes, Jevon Edwards, and Abby (Adam Miller) Edwards; great grandchildren, Bentley and Hazel Wyninger,  Wesley and Stella Schroeder; brother, Harold Rowe of Montana; sister, Barbara Balcome of Arizona; sister-in-law, Karen Moss-Chapman of New York, and many nieces and nephews. 

Sharon was preceded in her death by her parents, Charles and Judith Rowe; daughter, Vicki Hodges; two brothers, Michael Rowe and Charles Rowe, Jr.; sister, Karen Rowe; and her husband, Joe Kahn.

A Celebration of Life Gathering was held on Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 4-7pm at 108 North Oak Street in West Union, Iowa. 

There will be a Private Family Service at a later date. 

Burnham-Wood-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation service of West Union, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
