Jim and Barbara Jirak are celebrating their 70^th Wedding Anniversary Sept. 14, 2019. The Little Turkey couple is blessed with five children, twenty-two grand children and thirty-four great-grandchildren.

Shirley (Blue) and Russell Lauer will be celebration 59 years of marriage on September 11, 2019. They were united in marriage at the United Methodist Church in West Union in 1960.  

The family is having an anniversary celebration on September 14 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Good Samaritan Home in West Union. All are welcome to attend the celebration.

Geri and Sanley Ney

Stanley and Geri Ney will be celebrating their 60^th Wedding anniversary on Friday, September 6, 2019. They were married September 6, 1959 at the St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Monona, IA.

Stanley is actively farming and Geri is employed part-time at the Old Mill Floral in West Union.

Ken Gusta

A card shower, in honor of Ken Gusta’s 90 Birthday, which is on September 3, is scheduled.

Ken is retired from 20 years of Military Service in the U.S. Air force and was a semi driver for 30 years.

 Warren Sauerbrei will be honored on his 90th birthday with an open house on Sunday, Aug. 25, at the West Union Event Center, 10201 Harding Rd., West Union.

  A lunch will be served at noon with an open house being held from 2-4 p.m.

Tom and Leanna Cummings

Tom and Lenna Cummings of Clermont, will celebrate their 50^th wedding anniversary. The couple married Aug. 15, 1969 at East Clermont Lutheran Church.

The couple’s children are Amy Abler Des Moines, Ryan (Tracy) Cummings, Oelwein, and Chris (Stacy) Cummings, Clermont. There are 9 grandchildren, Tony (Karen) Casey, Hannah and Alex Abler, Paige (Bonner) Mitchel, Olivia, Chloe, Claire and Cecelia Cummings and 3 great-grandchildren, Zac, Aaron and Andrew Abler.

The couple will be celebrating the occasion with their family.

A Birthday Open House has been planned for Jim and Joyce Pattison on July 13 from 3 - 7 p.m. at the Fayette Opera House, 301 South Main Street, Fayette Iowa.
